What is a Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen Shoulder is a condition of the shoulder that restraints the range of motion of the shoulder. In this condition, the shoulder joint tissues get thicker and tighter and as a result, the shoulder joint doesn’t have enough space for proper rotation. It generally causes stiffness, swelling, and pain in the shoulder. It commonly affects people of old age generally between 40 to 60 years.

Painkillers:

Painkillers such as Acetaminophen, Paracetamol, and Tylenol are recommended for only external use. Some injections which contain a special type of steroid hormone that reduces swelling and pain can be injected into the shoulder joint to reduce pain. However, an overdose of these injections can have adverse side effects, or even cause more damage to the shoulder.

Physical therapy: 

In physical therapies, various shoulder exercises are performed to gain maximum movability and flaccidity without causing too much burden on the shoulder.

Shoulder manipulation: 

In this method, the shoulder is slightly moved while the patient is made general unconscious.

Shoulder arthroscopy:

Shoulder arthroscopy is an intrusive type of surgery adopts in very rare cases. In this operation, a small endoscope, or tube, is included by a short incision into the shoulder joint to raise adhesions or any scar tissue.
